Record Charity Line-Up for 2025! 21 Incredible Causes, One Unforgettable Race Day

At Goldline Events, we believe that running is about more than just crossing a finish line — it’s about purpose, passion, and people. That’s why we’re beyond excited to announce that the 2025 Robin Hood Half and Mini Marathon will see our biggest ever charity partnership – with 21 amazing organisations joining us this year.

Taking place on Sunday 28th September, the event is already shaping up to be one of our most vibrant yet, with thousands expected to take to the streets of Nottingham. And whether you're lacing up for your first-ever race or chasing a new PB, running for charity adds something truly special to the experience.

From the moment you sign up to the moment you cross that finish line, you'll be running with purpose – raising funds, awareness and community spirit for causes that are changing lives across the UK and right here in Nottingham.

Judith Manson, Race Director, said:
"To welcome a record number of charity partners this year is just incredible. It shows how powerful this event has become in uniting people for good. We’ve seen the difference these partnerships make, and in a time where charities are feeling the pinch, we’re proud to be helping to turn the tide. The energy, the stories, the community support– it all creates such a powerful atmosphere on race day, and we can’t wait to do it all again in September."

Whether it’s a cause close to your heart or one that inspires you to learn more, we encourage every runner to get involved. Already signed up? It’s not too late — you can still reach out to a charity partner through our website and make every step count for something bigger.

One incredible story from 2025 participant Steve, who’s making his long-awaited return to the Reading Half:

“I signed up for the 2023 and 2024 races, but in June 2023 I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and wasn’t able to take part. I underwent radiotherapy and chemotherapy through late 2023 and early 2024, followed by surgery earlier this year. Thankfully, the operation was successful and I’m now in remission. This year’s race came just a little too soon, but 2025 will be my first half marathon in a while — and the first time I’ll run it with my son, who completed it without me in 2023!”

Another inspiring story comes from Tahira, who defied the odds to take on the 13.1 mile challenge:

“Diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease in 2012, I’ve had two spinal surgeries, lived with endometriosis, PCOS, and undergone 12 surgeries in total to fix me. I was told I’d never be strong enough to do something like this — but I did it. And now, I want to do it again.”

So, join us on Sunday 28th September and help light up the city with colour, community and kindness. Let’s make the 2025 Robin Hood Half and Mini Marathon a day to remember — for all the right reasons.

Cancer Research UK remains as the headline charity for the 44th annual event. Every step towards curing cancer relies on every pound, every hour and every person. Without the support of our volunteers, supporters and every single one of our runners, their scientists would not be able to do their work in the lab to save more lives by preventing, controlling and curing all cancers.
