Half Marathon participants will need to be 17 years of age on race day.

Robin Hood Mini Marathon in partnership with Ikano Bank participants will need to be 4 years of age on race day. Any child under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, who must also enter the race via the entry system – failure to do so may cancel the child's entry. Please note that there is no upper age limit for any race.

By signing up to be a Guaranteed Fundraiser you commit to raising a minimum of £50 for our headline charity, Cancer Research UK. As a thank you from us you will receive £5 off your Half Marathon race entry fee. Your details will be passed to Cancer Research UK so they can contact you and support your fundraising.

We will request evidence of your fundraising and failure to do so may result in your race pack being delayed. If you don't raise the minimum fundraising amount you may be asked to pay £5 back before your race pack is issued.

If your entry has been successful you will receive an email confirmation with your order number. Please keep a safe copy of your order number as you will need this in the future. You can also log into your profile to see if your entry was successful.

All entries will show as unfulfilled until we process your race pack (Including any merchandise) and either send it to you or deliver it to the race village for collection.

Yes. Groups of 10 or more participants can enter together and pay by one invoice, please email to apply for a group entry.

Yes. However to ensure your safety and the safety of other participants, please email: so we can ensure you are allocated a suitable start zone.

If you get an injury, we recommend you go to your GP and/or a physiotherapist for advice. Hopefully your injury will recover and you will be able to take part.

Race Pack Posted: If you requested your race pack to be posted to you should receive your race pack by the following dates: If you entered before the 8th August 2022 we expect you to receive your race packs from week commencing 23rd August 2022. If you entered between 8th August and 5th September 2022, we expect you to receive your race packs week commencing 12th September 2022.

Please note your race pack will be sent to the address you have provided on your entry form.  If you have changed address and have not changed it within your profile a replacement pack cannot be sent.

No, you will have to collect your race pack from the Help Desk situated in the Race Village. Please remember to bring a copy of your race entry confirmation email with a form of ID.

Please log into your profile and change your details. If your entry shows as being "fulfilled", then it is too late to amend your details, as your race pack will have been processed.

If your pack has already been processed then please try to collect your race pack from your previous address or arrange for it to be forwarded to you. If this is not possible then please come to the Help Desk in the Race Village with your proof of entry (confirmation email) and photo ID (driving license or passport). Please do not worry, you will be able to pick up a replacement  pack during the weekend of the race from the Help Desk. To have another pack re-issued you must bring proof of entry, this can be a confirmation email and photo ID (driving licence or passport).

No – your chip is already attached on the back of your race bib. Your chip will automatically start when you cross the start line and stop when you cross the finish line. You don't need to do anything.

Yes, there is no need to panic if the number on your bib is different to your chip timing number. Please do not attempt to remove your timing chip as this may cause a technical error and risk it not working on race day. The most important thing is that the number on the envelope you received your race pack in matches the number on your race bib.

The Robin Hood Half Marathon starts at: 9.30am. The Robin Hood Mini Marathon in partnership with Ikano Bank will start at 10am after the Half Marathon has started. Therefore, if you are running in the Half Marathon you will not be able to watch or participate the Robin Hood Mini Marathon in partnership with Ikano Bank. 

All runners will be issued with a colour coded race number that reflects the estimated finish time you provided to us on your entry form. When you arrive at the start line, you will see the different coloured start zones which match the bib colours. You should start in the allocated colour/time zone that is shown on your race bib. 

You will be in the same zone as other runners who have the same estimated finish time as you – so make use of it and buddy up!

The start will go in waves with each coloured zone being released separately.

Please do not worry if it takes a little time to cross the start line, this will not affect your chip time which will start when you pass under the gantry.

The estimated timing allocation for each coloured zone are subject to change. The final starting zones will be confirmed nearer the time.

Yes the Robin Hood Mini Marathon in partnership with Ikano Bank has two waves. Allocated by age the first wave will be participants age 11 and over including Nottingham Post Corporate Challenge runners. The second wave is age 10 and under plus all accompanying adults.

Yes you can amend your estimated finishing time if your Race Pack has not already been processed. To amend your entry log into your profile and change your finisher time there.

However, if you are unable to amend your entry this means that your Race Pack has already been processed and you are no longer able to change coloured zones.

The start line is on Victoria Embankment. All starting zones will be clearly sign posted with coloured flags. All zones will be marshalled - please note that if you try to enter a different coloured zone to what is on your race bib you will be stopped by the marshal.


Your Merchandise (e.g. T-shirt, Hoodie, Snood, Bib Clips or Pace Bands) will arrive in your Race Pack. We expect all runners to receive their Race Pack 10 days before the event. If you have not ordered postage your merchandise will be with your Race Bib when you collect it on Friday 24th or Saturday 25th September.

Your VIP Race performance T-shirt will be included in your Race Pack if you ordered postage. If you have not ordered postage your T-shirt will be with your Race Bib when you collect it on Friday 9th or Saturday 10th April.

You can add any Merchandise to your order by going to the SHOP pages. If your Race Pack has not been processed, your merchandise will be with your Race Pack (either posted or collection). If your Race Pack has been processed, your merchandise will be collection only. 

If your Race Pack has been processed you can also purchase merchandise from the Merchandise Tent in the Race Village.

Yes, you can exchange your merchandise for a different size at the Merchandise Tent in the Race Village.

It must be unworn and you must bring a copy of your proof of transaction which was emailed to you after your purchase.

Your iTAB of your personal chip time will be sent to you as separately to go on the ribbon of your medal. All iTABs will be dispatched after the official race times have been confirmed, they will be posted to the address you entered on your race entry.

You can add an iTAB to your entry if your Race Pack has not been processed by going to the iTAB page on the website. 

If your Race Pack as been processed you can order an iTAB directly from iTAB. We will add the link to the iTAB page once all Race Packs have been processed.

Yes, baggage tents are located in the Race Village. Your baggage label will be with your Race Bib and matches your race number, please ensure to attach it to your  bag, then hand it in to a member of the baggage tent team.

To retrieve your bag at the end of the race all you have to do is show your running number at the baggage tent.

Please note: Whilst we will do our utmost to protect your bags, organisers cannot be held responsible for valuables left in a baggage tent - you leave all belongings at your own risk.

There are no showers or changing facilities available on site.

Yes, we always order lots of extra toilets within the Race Village. 

You'll find lots of activities and services in the Race Village including a merchandise tent, first aid, refreshments, VIP tent, massage and physio, toilets, Help Desk and a wide range of entertainment.

Yes, but please bear in mind that with over 13,000 people, the race village will be extremely busy. Therefore, for the safety of your dog and other runners all we ask is that you keep them on a lead.

Your Nottingham Post Corporate Challenge T-shirt will be sent to you with your race pack. This will be the size which was inputted on your entry.

Yes, if you wish to exchange your T-shirt for a different size you may do so at the corporate registration desk. Please be aware that we do have a limited amount of stock available for each size and is based on a first come first served basis.

Before the race we ask that you do not bring guests into the corporate tent, as there will be many teams registering and may be crowded. After the race, we will allow one or two guests with each runner, however, to enter they must be accompanied by the runner wearing the wristband. Please not :the refreshments within the tent are strictly for the runners only.

Your team members will receive their individual times via email. Provisional results for the teams will be posted online on the evening of the race, however, please bear in mind that these results are provisional as the official results take between 3 – 5 working days to finalise.

If your team has come 1st, 2nd or 3rd (congratulations!) the Team Leader will be contacted with details of how to collect your team's prize.


Anyone can enter as a special VIP. VIP entry includes: Half Marathon race entry, Official VIP Race Performance T-shirt, VIP Hospitality Tent with Bag Drop, Free Race Photograph, Post-Race Massage and Post-Race refreshments.

The VIP Tent is located in the Race Village, adjacent to the finishing straight of the race.

Before entering the VIP tent you will need to collect your wristband from the registration table just outside the VIP tent.

Only VIP guests, who have paid for access to the VIP tent, will be given a guest wristband. If you are not a VIP runner or VIP guest then you will not be allowed access to the VIP area.

Yes, there is a baggage drop off area in the VIP tent. Make sure you physically hand your bag to a member of staff and not just leave it on the ground. Please note that you do leave your bags at your own risk and the organisers cannot be held responsible for any losses.

Your VIP T-shirt will be included in your Race Pack.

Yes you can exchange your T-shirt in the VIP area. Please note however there are only a limited number of sizes available.


The Robin Hood Half Marathon course is 21K or 13.1miles. The Robin Hood Mini Marathon in partnership with Ikano Bank course is 2.5km or 1.5miles.

The course is flat/ undulating. While the race is run predominantly on the road, there are areas that are rougher and occasionally uneven; you may wish to consider the type of running shoes you wear particularly if it is wet.

There will be pace runners for the Half Marathon every 5 minutes between 1.20 - 2.30 plus a 3.00 hour pacer.

Please note our pacers do their very best to hit their targets, they will be running to a chip time, not a gun time therefore please bear this in mind.

For health and safety reasons, we recommend earphones or any device which may impede hearing/listening to instructions both before and during the race are not used. Whilst bone conduction headphones are approved for use in road races under UKA rules of competition, we still recommend that you do not wear them.

Water and Sports Energy Drinks will be available around the Half Marathon course. Please sip slowly - this will top up your energy levels to help you finish strong. Please ensure to stick to your pre-race hydration routine, please do not feel like you have to drink at every station. Water and Sports Energy Drinks will also be available on the finish line, these will help you rehydrate and kick start your recovery process post-race.

Yes. Medical services provided by St John Ambulance will be located around the course, as well as at the start line, near the finish area and in the Race Village to ensure your safety.

For 2021, there will only be toilets near the water station at mile 6 (Wollaton Park)

Yes there are marshals at every road junction and anywhere you could make a decision to ensure you go the right way and to cheer you on. Please note most of our marshals are volunteers or Charity partners so high five them too!

Yes. There is plenty of entertainment to look out for including bands, DJs, dancers and cheering points. Spread out around the course they will help keep you motivated and some might even put a smile on your face!

Yes. We have a legal obligation to re-open the roads by a certain time. This is approximately 4 hours after the race has started. If you are still running when we need to re-open the roads you maybe asked to move to the path. If you think you will be longer than 4 hours, please get in contact with us via email at where we will be more than happy to discuss how we can assist you to take part.

Yes of course! However we recommend practising in your costume beforehand. If your outfit includes any other equipment other than clothing/shoes please get in touch with us as there may be other requirements to ensure the safety of other participants.

No. Participants are not permitted to use any of the above or similar in the event and those attempting to do so will be prohibited from starting and may be forcibly removed from the course mid-race where necessary. Likewise, anyone attempting to start or join the race in any outfit that we, in our absolute discretion, deem unsuitable and/or dangerous to other competitors or spectators, will not be allowed to start the event or, if on the course, may be forcibly removed from the event.

Yes, all finishers in all races who cross the finish line will get a medal! Please ensure to take yours from one of our volunteers as you walk through the finish funnel as you cannot go back to collect one, once you have exited the finish funnel.


The results will be available online on the evening of the race and will be published in the Nottingham Post.

Please note when first published the results are provisional, the official results are normally confirmed 3-5 working days after the event. Should you have any queries regarding your provisional result then please email us straight away at

The Schools Challenge results take a little longer to work out and cannot be done until the main results are official. The Schools Challenge results normally take between 2 to 3 weeks to confirm.

If your child or school has won a prize you will be contacted via email and invited to the special awards evening. The Schools Challenge results are not published.


Yes. If you entered 2020 and have not chosen one of the other options available to you your entry has been deferred. If you log into your order you can see it has been tagged ‘Deferred to 2021’.

Your deferral request will be processed at the end of the month of your application, up to one month before the event. After this time we will not have time to access any deferral requests until two weeks after the event.

Once your deferral has been accepted your entry will show a tag ‘Deferred to (the year it has deferred to)’.

If you purchased any of the following items they will be deferred with your entry when your deferral is confirmed: VIP guests, iTAB, Snoods, Bib Clips, Pace Bands, and Results Supplement.

Other items such as Race T-shirts, hoodies and tops etc. will only defer with your entry if we have not already produced them on your behalf, if we have produced your merchandise they will be sent to you once your deferral is confirmed. Please note they will be sent to the address on your race entry, if this has changed email

Race pack postage is not included within deferrals, if you wish to have your race pack posted to your home then please add postage when you enter, as it cannot be added later.

We understand that last minute injuries and illness can occur and you may not be able to inform us immediately, therefore, we will still be accepting deferral requests up until two weeks after the event. However, please note that if you start in the race on the day and then pull out you will not be accepted for a deferral.

No, all deferrals are only valid for one year from the original year of entry and cannot be rolled over to the next year.

We understand that there can be many reasons why you can no longer take part, which could be outside of your control. Most races do not offer any form of refund in these circumstances and like them we are also unable to offer a refund on all items. However, in fairness to all of our runners you do have other options. To find out what these options are and how to proceed go to the Cancellation & Refund Policy here 

Duplicate entries made in genuine error will be refunded in full. However, we reserve the right to cancel all duplicate entries without refund if we have reason to believe that duplicate entries have been deliberately made with the intention of re-sale.

As your entry is linked to your profile, you are unable to transfer it to another runner. If you would like to transfer your entry to another runner we can administer this for you for a charge of £10 (paid by the new runner), provided that your race pack has not been processed. Please email with the new runner's full name, email and mobile number, together with your full name, your order number and order email confirmation.

Please do not give your race bib to another runner under any circumstances as this can lead to both you and the other runner being disqualified from this and other races under UKA rules.

Entries cannot automatically be transferred from one Event to another. If you are unable to attend an Event and would like your entry transferred to another please contact the team at with your request. Each request is individual and as such will be assessed on an individual basis. An administration fee of £5 will be payable to complete the transfer.
