TRAVEL

Arriving on foot

If you live locally then walking to the event is the healthiest and cheapest way to get there. If you’re not too sure what the best walking route is, we recommend using: www.walkit.com

Ensure to select 'Nottingham' from the drop down and type in your location as well as Victoria embankment, to get the quickest walking routes.

Cycling to the event

Nottingham is part of the National Cycle Network and has a large number of cycle routes throughout the city. If you're unsure of the best route then visit: www.cyclestreets.net

On the website you can input your journey details and customise to your preferences.

There will be an official bike park section set up on site but please note that all bikes left will be at your own risk.

Arriving by Bus

Due to road closures bus services in Nottingham will be affected on the day. There will be more information revealed at a later date on the Nottingham City Transport website – www.nctx.co.uk and Trent Barton – www.trentbarton.co.uk on how your travel may be affected.

Arriving by Tram

Travelling to the Robin Hood Half Marathon by tram is a great way to avoid traffic and enjoy a smooth arrival on race day. Nottingham’s tram network offers a reliable and convenient service, including an excellent Park & Ride option from Clifton.

The Clifton Park & Ride is ideal for runners and spectators alike – simply park your car and hop on the tram. It will drop you at Riverside Way, right by the Victoria Embankment and the closest access point to the Race Village.

For tram times, ticket information, and live updates, please visit the Nottingham Tram Operators website.

Arriving by Train

Travel by Train – Convenient Access from Across the UK

Nottingham Train Station is just a short distance from the event, located approximately one mile (a 15-minute walk) from Victoria Embankment and the Race Village.

It’s an ideal option for participants and spectators travelling from further afield. Be sure to check train times and plan your journey in advance using National Rail Enquiries:

Official Race Day Parking – Victoria Embankment

There is one official race car park located within easy walking distance of the Race Village:

Victoria Embankment (NG2 2GJ)

A limited number of spaces will be available on part of the Recreation Ground, operated on a first come, first served basis.

Due to its close proximity to the Start Line and Race Village, please note:
The car park opens at 06:30 and will close at 08:30, or earlier if full.

We recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment.

Road Closures & Travel Disruptions

Road closures will be in place across parts of Nottingham on race day to ensure the safety of all participants and spectators. A full list of confirmed closures will be published here closer to the event.

In addition to official closures, ongoing roadworks and general congestion may affect travel into the city. We strongly recommend planning your journey in advance and allowing extra time.
