The Robin Hood Half Marathon 2025: Our Biggest and Best Race Yet!
The streets of Nottingham came alive yesterday as over 14,000 runners took on the Robin Hood Half Marathon & Mini Marathon, making this the biggest and most successful edition to date. From elite athletes to first-time participants, the city witnessed an unforgettable celebration of running, community, and charity.
With a record 22 charity partners represented on race day, participants were not only chasing personal bests but also supporting a wide range of local and global causes. From start to finish, the energy and enthusiasm of runners, spectators, and volunteers created an atmosphere that will be remembered for years to come.
Race Winners
This year’s race saw outstanding performances at the front of the field.
- Euan Wilson claimed victory in the men’s race with a winning time of 01:09:32, followed closely by Philip Neilson in second place with 01:09:55, and Simon Davis rounding out the podium.
- In the women’s race, Amy Lowe stormed to victory in 01:17:46, with Polly Moreland taking second place in 01:20:22 and Amelie Kaas finishing third in 01:23:40.
A huge well done to all our winners, and to every single runner who crossed the finish line — your achievements made this year’s event truly unforgettable.
This year also introduced exciting new features, including the Women’s Zone — a dedicated space where female runners could relax, breastfeed, change, or simply take a moment to decompress if needed. Adding to the day’s spectacle, Robin Hood himself, along with the Sheriff of Nottingham and Little John, mingled with participants, posed for photos, and helped present awards.
Local Nottingham legend Vicky McClure was on hand to start the races and cheer on the community, inspiring runners and spectators alike.
“This year has been absolutely incredible,” said Race Director, Judith Manson, “We’ve seen record numbers of participants, phenomenal support from our charity partners, and an amazing turnout from the local community. It’s been a celebration of sport, health, and togetherness — and we couldn’t be prouder.”
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our charity partners and sponsors whose support helped make the Robin Hood Half Marathon 2025 an incredible success. Your dedication and generosity played a huge part in making this year’s event truly unforgettable. And of course, a massive thank you to all our runners and the wider community who turned out in droves to cheer them on — each year just keeps getting bigger and better, and that’s all thanks to you!
