Robin Hood Half Marathon Announces Largest Ever Charity Partner Line-Up for 2026
The Robin Hood Half Marathon and Mini Marathon has announced its biggest ever charity partner programme for 2026, with a record number of charities set to benefit from one of Nottingham’s biggest and most iconic running events.
Taking place this September, the event will once again give thousands of runners the opportunity to take on the 13.1-mile challenge while fundraising for causes making a real difference across Nottinghamshire and beyond.
Leading the line-up as Headline Charity Partner is Brain Tumour Research, the only national charity dedicated to funding sustainable research into brain tumours, helping improve outcomes and bringing hope to families affected by the disease.
Alongside Brain Tumour Research, the event’s largest ever charity programme includes organisations supporting mental health, homelessness, cancer research, children and families, disability sport, food poverty, bereavement support, emergency medical care and more.
Charities involved in 2026 are Children's Bereavement Centre, Emmanuel House, Epic Partners, FareShare Midlands, Footprints, Forever Stars, Framework, Harmless, Himmah, Home-Start Nottingham, Imara, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, Lord's Taverners, Maggies, Meals & More, Nottm and Notts Refugee Forum, Nottingham Hospitals Charity, Nottm Trent Uni Alumni, Our Dementia Choir, Over The Wall Camp, Rainbows, Safe Families, Summits Up, The Friary, The Harley Jae Trust, The Richard Whitehead Foundation and When You Wish Upon a Star.
Race organisers say the growth in charity partnerships reflects the increasing number of runners wanting to combine personal challenges with fundraising and community impact.
Judith Manson, Race Director of the Robin Hood Half Marathon said:
“The Robin Hood Half Marathon has always been about more than just race day. Every year we see thousands of runners taking part for causes incredibly close to their hearts, and we’re proud that 2026 will feature our largest ever charity partner line-up.
“These charities carry out life-changing work every single day, and the funds and awareness generated through the event can make a huge difference. Whether runners are taking on their first half marathon, chasing a personal best, or running in memory of someone special, fundraising gives every mile even more meaning.”
The Robin Hood Half Marathon continues to attract runners from across the UK thanks to its electric atmosphere and incredible crowd support.
Entries for the 2026 event are now open, with runners encouraged to secure their place and consider running for one of the official charity partners.
