Experience the buzz of taking part in the Ikano Bank Mini Marathon & Schools Challenge organised by Goldline Events as part of the Ikano Bank Robin Hood Marathon Events in Nottingham on Sunday 29th September 2019. The event offers all ages and abilities the chance to walk, jog or run in a fun community 1.5 mile (2.5Km) race with parents, teachers, friends and siblings.

Each child participating will receive a FREE T-shirt and medal

This year the Ikano Bank Mini Marathon & Schools Challenge will once again be both chip timed and gun timed. Having a chip time means that each runner will have access to purchase race day photographs and be able to download a finisher's certificate with their individual timing. Please note that all school challenge results will be based on the runners chip time and not gun time.

Ikano Bank Robin Hood School Challenge Results & Awards!

Prizes are awarded based on the top three performing children from an individual school in the following age categories:
U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17.

There are both male and female categories and the top three children from the top three performing schools will all be awarded at a special presentation evening a few weeks post the main event in September.

Details of the evening will be sent out when they are confirmed.

Please note all competition results are by chip time, not gun time.

Each place is at a special schools subsidised rate of £13.60

Email us by 1st July 2019 at schoolschallenge@goldlineevents.co.uk to register your school and tell us how many places you need.

We will then invoice you for these places and once payment is received, you will be sent entry codes for each participant. You/They will then need to complete an entry form as you/they would like any other runner, through the website.

We have reacted to the feedback from schools that the console option is too time consuming and was causing some issues for the schools, we hope this alternative option will save the schools some time.

Winning Schools and Students will be invited to an awards evening that will take place approximately 6-8 weeks after the event. Details of the evening will be sent out when they are confirmed. The overall top 3 schools will be awarded special trophies.

Please note that the Mini Marathon will have a pulse start and each runner will be allocated a specific colour bib in correspondence to their start wave. Please note that each runner must start in their allocated wave, otherwise failure to do so will lead to disqualification to the awards.

For the Mini Marathon participants will need to be 4 years of age on race day, any child under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult. It is the school leader/organisers responsibility to determine the ratio of pupil per accompanying adult, through their own risk assessment process and the accompanying adult must be entered as a runner into the Mini Marathon.


Bikes, stilts, roller skates, skate boards, buggies, etc.
Participants are not permitted to use any of the above or similar in the event and those attempting to do so will be prohibited from starting and may be forcibly removed from the course mid-race where necessary. Likewise, anyone attempting to start or join the race in any outfit that we, in our absolute discretion, deem unsuitable and/or dangerous to other competitors or spectators, will not be allowed to start the event or, if on the course, may be forcibly removed from the event.
