This year like last we shall be using Bib Timing. Your electronic chip will be contained within your race number so there is no need to attach a physical chip.
As the gun fires, your Half Marathon and Mini Marathon race time starts, this is your official race time in accordance with UKA rules, this is known as your gun time.
When you cross the start line your chip registers via the chip mats; this is for your personal interest and generally what runners base their PB's on. Please note the Schools Challenge and Mile races results will be based on chip time, not gun time.
Both times will be published in race results so you can see how long it took you to cross the line once the gun was fired.
