Physiotherapy and Massage Support
Impact Physiotherapy have been event partners since 2007.
We are delighted to support the event again this year, now our 12th year! The physio & massage support has grown to include 3 tents and over 50 volunteers. The team at Impact continue to prioritise this as a fund raising event for the official charities and are delighted this year to invite our colleagues at The University of Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic to join us.
This new team will enable us to offer an even bigger service to the runners, alongside of course the student Physiotherapists and Sports Rehabilitation students from University of Nottingham and Sheffield Hallam University who are keen to practice their skills under the supervision of the qualified physios. The Physiotherapy team are available to help on race day with any pre-race injury advice, or race preparations to a relaxing post-race recovery massage and any injury assessments that are required.
Impact has clinics based in Long Eaton, West Bridgford, Pride Park and The University of Derby. The University of Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic is based at The David Ross Sports Village on University Park with a hydrotherapy pool and group rehabilitation classes, giving you more choice for any pre / post-race assessment / treatment requirements.
